To: Marie, Deb, Kelly, Michael and respective family members,
It has been my privilege and joy to know you all thru the Kodak years when I
worked with Walter D. Lyding, consequently meeting all of you. He was a dear, an honest, hard-working employee, a good family man who loved you all immensely and became a special friend. I recently sent him an 89th birthday card with a great photo of your mom and dad enclosed from his 25th Kodak anniversary party. They seemed like the All-American couple with the All-American family in my eyes. I regret not being able to look forward to sharing a Southern Comfort Manhattan with my friend celebrating his 90th next year. I shall think of you frequently wishing you well and God’s blessings as you go forth in your lives with one special member missing.
Lovingly typed with my heartfelt sympathy to you all.
A fond memory I have that goes back many, many years is having lunch with Walt and Marie at their kitchen table in Greece, NY. Marie had made BLTs and we all raved about how good they were. But it was Walt, though, who honestly but loveningly asked… But where’s bacon? They were still pretty good. If you don’t remember me, I worked at Lincoln Plant with Marie… the other Marie. Sending love and light…
Deepest sympathy to the Lyding family. Worked with Walt at Kodak for a lot of years. Walt was soft spoken and always had a kind word and smile. May good memories bring you all some comfort.
I worked many years with Walt and I always had great respect for him. He was always fair and honest with me all the time I knew him. I’m sure his Family will miss Him. R.I.P.

Debi and Kelly, Wishing you peace at this time. You know how much your dad loved you. He truly was a caring person. He was my mom’s first friend at Crimson Ridge. She loved his caring ways and sweetness. It is a hard road to watch them go down. Take care of each other and your mom. Our hearts are with you. God Bless. Patty , Elaine and Joan Meiller
