  1. Dear Janet,

Because Sue and I care, our warmest thoughts and prayers go out to you with more concern and sympathy than we could ever express. May the Lord be close to you at this difficult time.

  2. It’s sad Sir that we weren’t able to meet personally. But i am so thankful that i was able to be a part of your son’s life, David. That im truly so grateful to know enough about some few things about you, Sir. 🙂 As how (you) Sir and Madam loves to go to Vegas a lot; Mostly before your birthday comes up. Come and visit David in California every year since he moved there. And as why David goes home (Rochester) every December to spend Christmas season (Day) with his beloved parents and brother. Even though I am million miles away from David, I know in his heart for sure, he will be forever miss you, Sir. 🙂 You indeed Sir, and Madam had raised 2 Good and Handsome Children. I myself will forever remember all your smile in every pictures I’ve seen that was with you. R.I.P. Sir Bill.

  3. Your services were wonderful and I know you would have been happy and proud with how everything went and how it looked! Miss you already.

  4. I saw through Billy from the first time he called me a shanty Irishman. As I suspected, he was a kind, generous, and above all loyal man. Bill was the best, and most entertaining, senior man a new guy could ask for. The mold is truly broken.

  5. God bless your soul my friend, you were a true firefighter, god has reserved a special place in heaven. For you truly served well here on earth.

  6. Billy, I will always rememeber everthing learnd from you when I was assigned to Engine 1 Truck 1 not only about the F.D. but about life in general . We had the best of times. Two particuliar incidents always stood out in my mind one you were teaching me how to drive the tiller truck , I was hitting the horn with the stop signal Lt Rice was screaming at you as the back was sliding on the ice, you just kept going we hit the curb and of course you were yelling at me, go figure. Second we were wrestling in the tv room (fun stuff ) you got me in the scissors hold, and you said I would never get out ! Well I said we will see and I bit you in the thigh, YOU DID LET GO !!!! You came accross as the tough guy but all of us who knew you close realized how much love and compassion you had in your heart , A VERY LARGE HEART !!!!! You will be sadly missed brother Bill, see you on the other side brother Jp (John Parente)

  7. When My Brother Angelo And I Visited Billy In The Hospital, We Shared A Lot Of Memories Of Our Days Working Together In The Rochester Fire Department. Especially, In Our Earlier Days When We Were Stationed On Court & Chestnut Streets.. It Wasn’t Long Before The Laughter Started And It Was Great To See Bill Enjoying Our Reminiscing. I Will Treasure Our Last Moments With Bill. Although He Tried To Hide His Big Heart With His Gruffness,It Never Worked. We Will Truly Miss You. May You Rest In God’s Love.

  8. Thoughts and prayers with your family at this time of sorrow. He will be missed by all. Ray and Lori(Alloco) Kerhaert. Brandon and Michael Kerhaert. Ray Kerhaert’s Garage.

  9. Dear Janet & family. Bill’s suffering is over. My sincere sympathy during this difficult time. I pray for peace in your hearts.

  10. The world lost a great man this week. Billl – you will be missed. My love and deepest condolences to Janet, Billy, David and the many family members who love him.

  11. My condolences to the family. Billy I will miss you dearly. You were a great cousin. We shared alot of memories. I will never forget all the times you found me to check to see if I was available to go out with Janet so you could take an extra shift at the firehouse. How about all the times you came to GeVa theatre where I was working with the fire truck and all the firemen. We sure had a lot of laughs. Will miss you.
    Love Patty
