About 50 years ago, I tended bar in a redneck honky-tonk roadhouse on Baltimore National Pike in Howard County Maryland. Lunch and Dinner – Live music five nights a week – Easy access to US 40 and I70.
My Aunt Rose was down visiting her sister, my mother, Dorothy. At around ten o’clock, they decided to come up and have a couple. Before long they had met the owners, most of the regulars, the band, and had a great night until closing. Whenever the sisters got together, you could count on the rest of the family going to bed at the regular time while they stayed up playing cards, telling stories and laughing. I hope that’s what they are doing now.
